Chapel Hill

This week, we welcomed visitors from Chapel Hill Church of Christ. This group had some familiar faces and newcomers alike. They even took us on a trip to outer space in their “out of this world” skit!

Each night at vbs, they brought our kids lessons by acting out stories. These stories were silly and fun as they stood on their own, but afterward, the group gave meaningful explanations and life applications of each story. We appreciate the Chapel Hill students for being willing to put themselves out there and bring fun entertainment to our kids.

The group started a new work project this week which we are very excited for. They began the process of scraping and priming the area in front of the baby dorm to paint a fun mural on! The group worked very hard all week, and they paved the way for our next group to paint the mural. This group doesn’t get to see the finished product yet, but their hard work has provided a foundation for the next group to finish.

One of the kids favorite things this week was playing games with the group. This group filled the American porch with board games and cards to play with the kids. The kids loved interacting with Chapel Hill’s group and playing their games. Some of our kids even developed a newfound love for the game of chess, thanks to this group!

We want to thank Chapel hill for all of the hard work, time, and energy they put into this week. We can’t do it without you guys! We can’t wait for next year, and we hope to see you soon!
